So this morning I did what any normal American should do when his/her back pain has lasted for more than 2-days.
I went to the Doctor.
I haven’t been to a doctor in “I don’t know how long”, so it was quite the ordeal.
I left the dr.’s office with a band-aid on my butt, some “Cyclobenzaprine” in my system and two prescriptions. More “Cyclobenzaprine” and some “Ketorolac”. (Both of which “may cause dizziness” – SWEET!)
I enjoyed lunch with two of my Bible study buds – Jason Knepp and Shawn French at El Ariero’s (a restaurant I promised to never eat at again after a 3-visit consistent stomach-problem). We’ll see what happens.
Tonight I’m finishing up a series on Friendship at theBOX.
It will be difficult to be my usual charismatic-self with only partial-use of my neck muscles. Note to self: more fog machine, and more music to confuse the students as to why their youth pastor seems so “robotic”.
Try Acapulco uptown. Through the week they serve a buffet & it is fabulous! They always have fajita meat, taqueros, chicken wings, a white dipping cheese beans & rice. Then they usually have something else like BBQ ribs or butterfly shrimp. They always give you a basket of chips & salsa. You can also ask for tortillas for your fajita meat. It is soooo good and very reasonably priced. Becki & I eat there just about every other Friday. It might not be the most fancy restaurant but it is good.
How is your back?? How did you do after your third time eating at the restaurant??? get feeling better.
sorry about your back.
Have you ever visited http://www.textweek.com? It’s got a strong Catholic influence and it’s not a youth site per say, but very helpful resources — especially since it’s for EVERY week (or three times / week depending on how you look at it).
Anyway, I thought it might be helpful — enjoy!
OK, SOOOOOOOO, what about the influence of your maw and paw and the idea they have influenced you with for seeing the CHIROPRACTOR – F I R S T ?!!!!!!
Stevan, I am going to tell you again, I KNOW that I would be an invalid if it would not have been for finally giving the chiropractor a try (ONLY after first going to all kinds of doctors, all kinds of tests and x-rays and even therapy, only to still have no help or answers to WHY I could not use my right leg anymore and why I had constant pain in my hip)!!
How much more can I encourage you to go to the Chiropractor AND Jessica, AND our grandchild after (he or she) is born!
I once was such a disbeleiver and nay sayer of chiropractic (only because that is what I heard being said) and now I am such a believer in that they offer tremendous NON INVASIVE (drug or surgical) help to everyone!
PLEASE go, give it your sincere try!
Love you lots and lots (stubborn boy)!
