“Breast is best!”, said tonight’s “lactation nurse” at our final “Prepared Childbirth” class – week 6, for those of you keeping track at home.
She was a bit “charismatic” in her instructional breastfeeding techniques. I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard the words “boob” and “nipple” so much in my entire life – and for that matter, I’ve never seen so many “boobs” or “nipples”, either! (yes, we watched a good 30-minutes of breastfeeding video, too)
We did learn an awful lot tonight, despite the “dirty studyhall” feel to tonight’s class. I’m again amazed at just how incredible our God is for creating such a thing as human life and for providing all the needs for a baby right there from the mother!
Some interesting “points” from tonight –
I’m sure all of you who read through that list REALLY wanted to know each of those, too.
I never thought we’d be finished with these “Prepared Childbirth” classes – 6-weeks ago seems like FOREVER ago – again just reminding me about just how quickly Baby Sheets is going to be sharing this home with us!
I can’t wait!
Hi.. This is for Jess… If you ever need advice on breastfeeding or need support I would love to be there for you. I wasnt going to breastfeed my kids but nursed Noah til he was 17 mos. and Micah til 3 years. I really enjoyed it and loved the bond we had. I want to let you know that the first month can be tough but just keep telling yourself that you can do this!! It gets much easier after the first month. I am so proud of you and you too Stevan!! I am so happy and we will continue to pray for you both and baby too.
Ahhh So you met the “nursing Nazi,” or at least I think that is the nickname given to her. Sharie is a wonderful lady. She helped Beth out a lot. Her class was probably the funnest class to go through just because she was a good presenter.
Hey just to let you know, the Wal-Mart brand of formula (Parents Choice) will save you over half of that amount. It was only $12.88 a can and it worked great for us.
By the way did you learn the football hold. Kind of sad that someone felt the need to link breastfeeding and football. Good luck!
My Reply to this entry is in the newest entry you have today…Go look!

The joys of being a father to be!!!
Sherrie also has a wonderful group that meets- nursing mothers group… great support and she weighs the babies so you can see how they are doing.. that was always a huge thing for me…
