I’m loving Zamzar(dot-com)

I’m loving the new online service, “Zamzar” for converting internet videos (say, YouTube) to videos I can actually “use”. I can convert any YouTube video directly to an mpeg (FOR FREE, I might add) and then use it in a program like MediaShout or import it into my video editing software and edit it from there!

If you’ve ever “needed” a YouTube video to show elsewhere, you’ll understand the importance of knowing about a site like this! I’ve used other sites in the past (vixy.net, vconvert.net), but what I love about Zamzar is that I can actually convert to a usable format! Another interesting feature (that may help Zamzar stick around for a while) is that they actually e-mail you the link to the downloadable video file instead of just converting it while you wait. I like that. No more, sitting, waiting, wishing for the conversion process to finish – I just get the e-mail when the job is finished!

Check out Zamzar.

  1. I tried it today. Pastor J wanted the Anita Renfroe video for mothers day next year. Glad you found that site.
