Tonight Jess and I enjoyed the Mukwonago High School rendition of “The Miracle Worker” – the story of Helen Keller, who I’m not sure why but during the perfomance tonight I realized I had a childhood fascination with this story. Anyone in my family want to clue me into the “why”?
Anyways, as any good youth pastor would do, i snapped a large number of photos during the performance (only one flash, oops!) and some of them turned out! Click the image below to see the album.
Why sure! I know why you have a fascination with “The Miracle Worker”. It’s because one of your Dad’s early acting stints was in the West Montgomery High School (or maybe even Troy Junior High?) production of this play. I can’t recall the role that he played, but I don’t think it was the role of Helen Keller or Annie Sullivan.
Our friend who played the role of Helen Keller was fabulous.
Anyway. . .that’s what I think.
Uncle David clued you in on why you have a fascination with this play and it was at West Montgomery High School. Can’t quite remember the role your father played but it may have been the preacher. One other memory that remains is that your father took our small black dog with him and Cinder was also in the play. Glad you and Jess were able to see this great play about 2 great, strong women.
