Whoa, that was amazing, but at the end I wished the parent would have come quicker before my emotions got the best of me!

It is so important for children to learn how to swim and it is a great sport and activity. My siblings and I learned how to swim at a very young age and so did our daughters, Jessica and Jaymie. When I was taking lessons myself as a child, I remember the instructor tossing babies (infants) into the water and their first response was to swim. They needed taught ofcourse how to turn over on their backs and float.

I hope Ella will take swimming lessons too. I’m sure you and Jess have this in your plans for her. She does love the water already!

  2. Amazing! That is just AMAZING!!!!

Oh, I am so glad to see you put it on your webpage in order to share it with so many others who may need to be encouraged to have their children in swimming lessons!

Do you remember yours? Do you remember the story about your swimming lessons as an infant? Like LeeAnn described, that is how we taught you!

The instructor believe Parents were the best teachers, so we got in with you and passed you from Dad to Mom and back with words of praise and encouragement and “One, two three and now under you go”! You were excellent UNTIL you got sick, then it was not something you wanted to do, and we felt awful! That is something I well remember! Where you were full of anxious joy and delight, one lesson turned suddenly into cries and non compliance! We had no idea that you were sick, until we took you to the doctor…and it was pneumonia! Your parents beat ourselves up but the doctor said that it was something that came quickly and silently! Poor baby boy – YOU!!!!!

At least, you know how to swim!! And that has been such a blessing to you!!

Thanks for putting it here for others to see!

  4. Woa! That makes me thankful that Aaron knows how to swim…. and for the fact that we don’t have a pool since Isaac doesn’t! :( He’s upstairs asleep in jammies that look just like that baby’s…. yikes. Guess I’ll take him to the Y and throw him in tomorrow to see how it goes!!!

Hope that you are all doing well! We miss ya!
