Pixar grants dying girl’s wish to see “UP”

Just read an incredible story about Pixar granting a 10-year-old girl’s dying wish to see the movie “UP”.

The day after Pixar received the call from the girl’s mother, they sent an employee to her home with a DVD copy of the movie and a handful of movie-memorabilia.

About 7-hours after watching the film with her family, Colby Curtin died.

Pixar gains some reputation in my book for this one!

They could’ve passed it off as a “maybe true story” after the phone conversation. They could’ve claimed to be “too busy”, or “unable” to show a current in-theater movie in someone’s home.

They went the extra mile, too, by bringing the movie-swag with the movie and leaving it for the girl and her family. That’s just great Public Relations!
