Archives For Family

The weather today was gorgeous. After dinner we cleaned up and headed outside for an hour or so. I took my DSLR along with us and snapped a few ‘keepers’ of the kids.

I’m biased, but I believe God has given us two of the most beautiful children in the entire world. I am a blessed husband and father!

I love my wife. She represents “Tha Muthahood” better than most. I am honored to be her husband and am in awe of her mothering skills (and patience level)! Happy almost-mother’s day, babe!

This video by Anita Renfroe has been making its ‘viral rounds’ on the interwebs and I found it entertaining enough to warrant blogging about it.

My favorite line: “we bust a cap on toothpaste”.

I’m not going to lie. I could still probably sing every single DC Talk lyric ever written. When I stumbled upon this video today I had two quick thoughts that I felt the need to share on my blog:
1. I am so glad I had the privilege of growing up listening to DC Talk.
2. I am so glad that there is no video-proof of me ‘performing’ this exact same song in the privacy of my bedroom (complete with ‘dance’ moves) every single day of my life in 6th and 7th grade.

That is all.

PS – if you did not grow up listening to “Christian Music” in the 90’s this video (and this post) will mean absolutely nothing to you and I apologize. Also, did you know you can still get DC Talk albums on Amazon?!

I love moments like these that I get to spend with my little girl:

I woke up my cousin Kenny (who had passed out on our recliner) in a unique way this evening. Reason? He told me that he had fallen asleep on one of his flights today and that a flight attendant had to shake him awake after everyone else had already stepped off of the plane. I was skeptical.

After tonight’s experience I truly do believe this young man could sleep through such a thing:
