Two years ago today.

Time flies.

Healing? Not so much.

I’m (still) remembering (and praying for) Haiti!

I’ve been in the office for two days after a week-away. I am trying to bite-off small tasks and complete them one by one. For instance, desk-management was one of this morning’s goals.

Not bad:

What does YOUR “first days back” routine look like in your home or your workplace?

A few hours ago, New England defensive end Andre Carter tweeted this:

Carter was carted off of the field during Sunday’s game against the Broncos.

After church this morning I was told about a local family that has gone all-out in decorating with lights not-too-far from our home.

I came home and did a bit more research on the home located at 490 Starr Ave in Chambersburg. I found a newspaper article about the home and the family behind it. As soon as it was dark we decided to venture out and check it out.

Wow.

This was our first experience with a house that has been decorated with synchronized lights. When we pulled up we read signs that instructed us to tune to 90.9FM where we enjoyed “WFL – Wilson Family Lights Radio” which gave some background on the lights and instructed that all donations go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

I managed to snap just a couple of photos with my phone:

I also found a few videos of the decorated house from 2010 on YouTube that gives a small taste of what it is like LIVE:

My parents stopped in at the Turkey Hill Experience a few months ago and called us after they checked ticket-prices and hours. They said it was a “must” for our family to join them for someday.

Today was that day. (a spur-of-the-moment decision for both of our families to make this happen)

We were super-impressed! There was PLENTY of hands-on exhibits to keep the kids interested and plenty of small-print reading and video-media to keep the adults intrigued! We each also had the opportunity to invent our own ice cream flavor, design the carton AND film a 30-second commercial for it!

When we got home we had an email containing links to all of our created media, including the commercial videos! Just the kind of stuff worth sharing on a blog!

I also managed to snap a few dozen photos that are worth sharing, too:
