Pennsylvania General Assembly declares 2012 “The Year of the Bible”

How cool is this? On January 23rd, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives declared this year, 2012, the “the year of the Bible”!

“As not only Pennsylvania, but the United States, continues to face great tests and challenges, House Resolution 535 serves as a reminder that we must look to our faith in God and the Holy Scripture to provide us with the strength, wisdom and courage to conquer these great trials,” Rep. Rick Saccone (R), who sponsored the resolution, said.

People are chipping in to help me get to Swaziland!

She lovingly made a substantial donation toward my $3,000 I’m needing to raise to be a part of a mission team going to Swaziland, Africa this October! I’ve also recently finished a t-shirt design for another friend, a few more business cards for another friend and am currently finishing a prayer-card for a full-time missionary friend and his family!

I’m truly thankful for these who have offered to support me this way – and I still have a long way to go to reach my $3,000 goal. The first 1/3 of my fundraising goal is due in just over a month and I’m truly trusting the Lord to help provide the means for me to join our district-team on this incredible opportunity!

October Baby – Every Life is Beautiful

One of the most interesting people I follow on Twitter is @GiannaJessen. Her birth-story of being an abortion-survivor is incredible.

Recently she linked her followers to a movie coming in March entitled, “October Baby”. Jessen sings a track on the movie’s soundtrack and has a unique connection to the premise and story line of the movie.

The movie is sure to stir the pro-life / pro-choice communities – and I think it’s going to be an eye-and-heart opener for many who walk the line between.

OCTOBER BABY is the coming of age story of a beautiful and naive college freshman who discovers that her entire life is a lie and sets out on a road trip with a host of misfits to discover herself and the answers she craves.
